Nick VonFeldt

Nick VonFeldt is an experienced criminal defense Investigator and co-founder of VonFeldt & Beatty Investigations, Inc. VonFeldt graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2005, and completed an investigative internship with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office that same year. Immediately after his internship, VonFeldt became a criminal defense Investigator for Colorado’s Alternate Defense Counsel where he worked for one year before accepting a full-time position with the Public Defender’s Office in Arapahoe County.

Zeldon Peterson

Zeldon Peterson is an Investigator with VBI. Peterson is an accomplished graduate from Johnson and Wales University Denver, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Criminal Justice in 2019. Through schooling, he has vast knowledge of the areas of Criminal Courts, Criminal Procedure, Criminal Law, and more.

Before his time as an investigator, Peterson worked as a criminal defense paralegal specializing in reviewing discovery and working with clients. He has worked for multiple private law firms and on an individual contractor basis, handling cases in a variety of counties across Colorado. He has supported attorneys in all types of cases, including multiple First Degree Murder matters.

Nick VonFeldt

Nick VonFeldt is an experienced criminal defense Investigator and co-founder of VonFeldt & Beatty Investigations, Inc. Mike Beatty

Mike Beatty is the co-founder of VonFeldt & Beatty Investigations, Inc. Prior to creating VBI in 2011, Beatty was employed for five years by the State of Colorado as an Investigator for the Public Defender's Office. His work contributed to the representation of clients in the County and District Courts of Larimer, Jackson, Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln Counties.

Brian Niven

Brian Niven is an Investigator with VBI. Before accepting his position at VBI, Niven worked for over seven years at the Denver Police Department. Niven also worked as an EMT for Rural Metro, American Medical Response, and Platte Canyon Rescue.

Cindy Rose

Cindy Rose is an Investigator with VBI. Prior to joining VBI in February 2020, Rose worked as a Community Resource Navigator with Mile High United Way. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Rose has spent considerable time in her career conducting interviews, interpreting, and translating legal documents. Originally from El Paso, TX, Rose has proudly called Colorado home for 20 years.

Rose is licensed as a Private Investigator I for the State of Colorado and is approved as an Investigator with the Office of Alternate Defense Counsel.

Holly Modjeski

Holly Modjeski Joined VonFeldt & Beatty Investigations, Inc. in January 2015 as the Administrative Assistant/Billing Coordinator. Modjeski studied Nursing at North Harris County College in Houston, Texas. Subsequently, Modjeski was employed by Kelsey Seybold Clinic in Houston, Texas as a Training Coordinator and Patient Advocate. In 1992, Modjeski accepted a position as the Practice Manager for an ENT/Head and Neck surgery practice in the San Francisco Bay Area.
